The 30th International Adventure & Discovery Film Festival will take place in Val d’Isère from 12 to 15 April 2027.

Where will the Festival be held?

The International Adventure & Discovery Film Festival will take place in Val d’Isère village centre, in Savoie. The films will be screened at various venues: Main hall of the Auditorium at the Henri Oreiller Convention Centre Valériane and Ancolie halls at the Henri Oreiller Convention Centre (simultaneous live screening) Le Splendide Cinema at the Maison de Val (simultaneous live screening) Talks, events and fringe activities will take place in various indoor and outdoor venues across Val d’Isère, including the Centre Aquasportif, certain hotels and even on the slopes.

Is it necessary to book seats to watch the films?

Yes, you need to book seats to attend screenings at the Convention Centre Auditorium or Le Splendide Cinema. Admission to the Valériane and Ancolie halls is free, subject to availability.

Do we have to pay to attend the Festival?

It depends on the screening venue: Convention Centre Auditorium: tickets to be purchased in advance Le Splendide Cinema: tickets to be purchased in advance Valériane and Ancolie halls: free admission Participation in the Festival’s fringe activities is free of charge, but you must book ahead.

Can we follow the Festival online?

Yes! Evening events held in the Convention Centre Auditorium will be broadcast live and free of charge on the Festival website. A link to the live broadcast will be available on the website homepage from the first day of the Festival.

Will the filmmakers and adventurers be present at the screenings?

Yes. Screenings in the Auditorium will be followed by talks and debates hosted by the Festival’s presenter, with the filmmakers and adventurers in attendance. These discussions will also be broadcast live in the other screening halls and on the website.

Will the films be subtitled?

Depending on the film, screenings may be presented in French or in the original language with French subtitles. The language and any subtitles are indicated in the details of each film in the Festival programme.

Is the Festival accessible to people with mobility issues?

Yes, the Convention Centre is accessible to people with disabilities. Any specific request or need for assistance should be addressed to the Festival team before you arrive.

After the screenings, how do we reach our accommodation?

A free shuttle service will be operating from the Convention Centre after the last film, stopping at Le Fornet, then La Daille. Practical information and timetables will be available during the Festival.

Can we vote for our favourite film?

Yes! Audiences can contribute to determining a winner from the selected films. After the screenings, you can cast your vote for the film you like best. The Audience Grand Prize winner will be revealed during the award ceremony. You can also connect to this website to vote online.

When is the award ceremony?

The award ceremony will take place on the Thursday evening in the Convention Centre Auditorium, bringing the Festival to a close. This is the moment when the 2027 Festival winners are announced, including the Audience Grand Prize.
