A 45-minute documentary, *Better up there* tells the story of Léo Slemett’s extraordinary and moving life. Through his rise in the world of freeride skiing, Léo wages a relentless battle against adversity to pursue his dreams and push his limits.

Set against the spectacular backdrop of the high mountains and the Freeride World Tour, we see Léo facing incredible challenges and setbacks. We witness how the loss of his two life partners shapes Léo’s own life, how he learns to live with this pain and continues to move forward.

Shaped by a mountain that gives him everything and takes everything away, the paradox of fulfilment and sadness drives the story and prompts us to ask: isn’t Léo’s world a reflection of each of our own lives?
